This was the preferred typewriter of the Luke’s of Hemingway and many more famous writers. It appears to be fully functional although it needs new ink. I also tested it briefly before the ink dried so I cannot say with 100% certainty that it is fully functional.

This is a lovely Remington Rand typewriter made in the USA in the 1940s. We are no experts about these machines so we would love to hear any knowledge about this particular rare model, "Quiet Model 1". The advancing mechanism that rolls the paper does not seem to grab the paper well. The ribbon is obviously mostly dried out. No buttons are missing. Notice that the machine latches into its case but is removable as well. This is a beautiful display piece and we believe it could easily be in full working order.
