This was the preferred typewriter of the Luke’s of Hemingway and many more famous writers. It appears to be fully functional although it needs new ink. I also tested it briefly before the ink dried so I cannot say with 100% certainty that it is fully functional.

Good working condition. The keys are sharp - and have a tendency to punch through the paper if you are a heavy typer like myself. The ribbon is old and will need replaced - the machine should also be tuned as it probably hasn’t had one in 100 years.

Smith-Corona SCM Galaxie Deluxe Manual Typewriter with Case 1960s-1970s Had a problem with the number one key and the equal key. Both oddly black on the keyboard by the way. The hammers had become detached and I successfully reattached them, but they’re a little sticky probably needs cleaning and lubrication. The letter Y key and @ symbol key do not work and beyond my skillset to fix. One appears bent and the other I am not sure. All other functions seem to work. See pics of typing and underside. This is a good relatively clean specimen for a typewriter enthusiast.
