The serial number is 626824. Carrying Case inside does have cloth separation. (see pictures). I'm not a typewriter expert or cleaner. Hopefully you can save this manual typewriter. This needs a new ribbon too.

This is ahard-to-find Script/Cursive typeface (see photos) and the typewriter is overallclean and presentable, with a few marks/scuffs consistent with age and storage. The platen/roller showsrubber bloom/whitening (oxidation).

The keys stroke and the carriage moves. The carriage does need to help to move when pressing the space bar. The serial number is AL230815 which should put it around the early 1920's being built. It is a portable but without the top of the case.
