This is a partially working typewriter. The bottom bar gets stuck thus the carriage won’t move when this happens. All keys work manually as they should when bar does not get stuck. Currently it does make a nice mantle / shelf piece, however my father in law loved working on typewriters and getting them to work perfectly.

These spools haven’t been manufactured in decades and are becoming increasingly hard-to-find. You can leave them in your typewriter permanently, just re-spool fresh ribbon onto them as needed. I removed the old, dried-out ribbon and re-spooled new 1/2" black and red ribbon onto them.
