This antique poetry book has got some amazing content. The structure of the book is great. The page quality is top notch and the illustrations that are black and white are all beautiful and in good shape. This book has 189 pages and every page is full of beautiful poetry and pictures. This would be great for a collage artist or a junk journaler. The cover is very clean and good looking and the content would make great journal pages and ephemera.

This book is in Fair condition. The brown fabric cover is decent with wear at the corners and a bit missing from the top of the spine (see photos). The copper lettering on the spine has faded. The binding is good.

1874 Picture Posies Poems Chiefly by Living Authors Engravings First Ed. Hard to find. The book is in good condition for one that is 150 years of age. There is a delightful dedication inside the front cover from presumably, students, to a loved teacher or house mother at Christmas (misspelled “boarders”? there’s a story there…!) The text block is fairly solid, no pages missing or torn. There is tanning and foxing to nearly every page, typical of an aged book.
