Nice rare collectible /coffee table design book from the 1990's. Hardcover has the most wear, especially around edges and corners, bottom front has worn area leaving white markings …scratches. Back outer corner has slight bend. Shade of purple in photos is slightly varied due to lighting. Good strong spine and binding. And why half-timber?. In a rocky area the buildings were stone; and in heavily forested places they used wood for construction. But each house needed hardwood trees of a similar size, split down the middle and cut into ribs which would be joined with wooden pegs.
