This estate find is a 1937 Royal KHM Typewriter, SN. It has beautiful glass keys and has a nice look to it. The issue is the carriage will not advance when the keys are struck. The keys work well, very smooth and the carriage is smooth and free.

Disclaimer I’m not a typewriter expert. This typewriter will type however does not seem to be creating a space after each character fast enough. The platen will move very slowly and you have to wait to type the next letter. Sometimes it doesn’t move at all. I could be doing something wrong. I’m not sure if that by design or not. The type glide will sometimes not retract very quickly. Overall the unit is clean. It works but it’s questionable. You’re prob not going to be writing a paper with this in its current condition. However prob would do good for a sentence that doesn’t have great spacing. Thanks for stopping in!
