I can't find exact book only year I see is 1844 but has to be reprinted? Because of the pages are too crisp. One page has a name written in pencil. Two pages have stamps on there and third and fourth have a about a 1 Inch tear. See pics.

This household edition of "The Poetical Works of Thomas Bailey Aldrich" was published in 1915 by Houghton Mifflin and Company in Boston. The book features illustrations by an anonymous artist. The author was widely known as a longtime editor of The Atlantic Monthly. He was a poet of lyrical skill with a light touch and did not care for the dialect verse that was prevalent during his time. This book is in great shape given its age. The binding is intact and firm, and pages are clean (with an occasional small dark spot). The cover has relatively mild signs of wear. Nice book by author and illustrator, William Edward Baubie. The dialect is fun. more easily read and understood by the average English-speaking person. There is really no such uniformity of dialect among the "habitants" that could be followed with any degree of certainty.
