Fully stripped and cleaned inside and out. The electrolytic capacitors that can be seen in the photographs have all been replaced with good quality parts. The mains lead has been replaced with a fully moulded plug, 3 amp fuse fitted.

Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui AU-517 amplifier. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui AU-517, including four new main filter capacitors. This is a tedious and annoying process, and involves either acetone-soaked cotton balls, a lot of scraping, or both.
