This item is: The Garden of Allah, by Robert Hichens, Published by Lieber & Co., 1911, first edition. Laid in is a 12" x 7 3/4" oriental rug of sorts. Images #3 and #4 show its front and back; it is an actual loosely woven item; I believe that it is an insert/souvenir original to the book, but I am not certain.
