When I first got it, it would turn off shortly after powering on. I took the top off just to see if there was anything noticeable going on, but then the issue never occurred again. From what I'm seeing, it could need a new belt soon or new lube. But for the time being it is working fine aside from some noise in the audio when playing a VHS.
