Tape plays but previous owner replaced the belt with a rubber band. Sounds good but needs the correct belt. You will only receive what you see. Every thing else works.

This unit is in near mint condition cosmetically. It plays cassettes and all buttons and dials work except the Fast forward button. Once pressed you can hear the gears and levers moving then it clicks and stops. It seems like an easy fix for someone who knows that they’re doing but I’m not that person. Experience crystal-clear sound and enjoy your favorite music with this top-of-the-line cassette deck. While it can fast forward and rewind, it doesn't play tapes. The belt for that motor had turned to goo so I replaced it, but the motor itself doesn't seem to do anything and I don't know enough about this stuff to attempt a repair.
