Ok, i have no idea how this thing works. Lights come on, it has a mat, i guess to stand the scanner on. Seriously, i dont have a clue, the instructions are all in chinese. The software on the USB drive is in English, the software on the mini cd is in chinese. So there's that. If you dont know how this scanner works DO NOT BUY IT, I DONT LIKE RETURNS!! LOL
