This cassette player is in good working order. Tape function buttons work properly. Lights work. Has metal tape selection for older cassettes. Tape counter also works. I used an old headphone set to do the test. Did not have the proper speaker set up. Just so you know you do need to have this connected to a receiver to adjust the volume.
