You're Samsung TV must be compatible with a voice command remote to work properly. Remote takes two AAA batteries (not included). Simple to program to your Samsung tv. Just make sure tv is on, batteries installed in remote then press and hold the "Play and Back" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
