It plays, fast forwards, rewinds, pauses, stops and ejects beta max tapes just fine. This is a BETAmax player, it will NOT play regular vcr tapes. It will only play beta max tapes. You will receive the exact item in the photos, please look at the photos carefully, there is some old tape residue on the side. You will also receive one set of rca cables, the tv is not included.
