I do not have a puck (it went bad). however to use this you don't need one to get it unmuted you start pc, then plug in power for the bose and it is unmuted and can be controlled with your computer. Or one can buy a replacement puck there are some dings on the edges and discoloration on the subwoofer screens as seen in the pictures please ask if you have any questions and see photos for more information tested and works c5
