The door is a little loose so would probably have to use some tacky wax to make it sit square. There are all types of pieces that can be used in a fireplace setting, the fender, brass candlesticks, coal in bucket, stacks of firewood. The fireplace insert is run on a battery which would have to be replaced. I was afraid to replace the battery as I didn't want to take the chance of hurting it. The fireplace measurements are: 3-1/2"H x 1-1/4"D x 2-1/2"W.
