Grana Padano is a cheese originating in the Po River Valley in northern Italy that is similar to Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Like Parmigiano Reggiano, Grana Padano is a semi-fat hard cheese which is cooked and ripened slowly for at least nine months.
