Lymon was only 13-years-old when that side was released and in many ways he wasn't ready for the lifestyle that went with being a professional singer and first wave rock star. He left the group in 1957 for a solo career and by 1968 he was gone from this veil, dying from a drug overdose at the age of only 26.
