Vintage first edition 1934 paperback copy of Elegies and Songs, written by John Mavrogordato. This is a collection of somber poems, including reflective ones relating to death and lamentation. There are classical themes and references through them too. On the front cover is a lovely woodcut engraving by Blair Hughes-Stanton. The book is in excellent condition for its age with a bit of foxing and some marks. Please see photos.
