This paper shredder can shred 3 sheets that are no more than 4.5 inches wide. The black switch on top has reverse for the paper to come back up, off, and on for the paper to shred. If you have papers with paper clips or staples, remove them before shredding the papers. Machine will break if you shred paper clips or staples. On the back of the paper shredder there’s a bar to place at the edge of the garbage can since this paper shredder doesn’t have its own container. This shredder was tested and is still in good working condition.
