This is a beautiful antique plate by Onondaga Pottery Company, also known as Syracuse China. I looked up the initials " E L K" and learned that there were several different ELK Steam ships operating around the time when this plate was made. The big bold letters are very curly and joined together. The E is in the middle. The floral pattern is called Rose Festoon which is also rare. This plate is approx. 9" wide.
