These are "smokey gray" translucent Joy-Con test sample shells that Nintendo manufactured in 2024 during a time where they were testing whether or not to release an official transparent/translucent design. They ultimately scrapped the design and never officially released them, but a handful of these test samples made it out alive! PLEASE NOTE: the last image shown is just an example of what it would look like if you shell swapped these on retail controllers. You will only receive the shells, not complete shell swapped controllers.
