Temperate springtails, often the species Folsomia candida (Temperate White Springtails), are small (1–4 mm), soil-dwelling hexapods commonly used as bioactive "clean-up crews" to consume mold, waste, and decaying matter in terrariums. All of my springtails are grown and shipped in ZooMed Reptisoil with extra moss, charcoal, and leaf litter (maple and oak).
