Phone does turn on and work/function..screen is dim on I I used the a a “charging dummy” every couple of months I’d discharge the 4 in my phone kit so they can be utilized in case of an emergency..I upgraded to a 1700 model, so this would keep major wear and tear off of your phone..think of it as a “VHS TAPE REWINDER” to keep the heads in shape in your VCR before returning it to your collection or rental outlet…any questions, please let me know..
