I tested this with a cassette and it does play. However, the tape speed varies during playback and the fast forward and rewind buttons have a similar issue. The counter does not work properly. I did not have a blank cassette to testing the recording features, nor did I test the individual ports. The power cord has what appears to be heat damage (see last picture), but still works. Sold as-is.
