It is in almost like new condition, still held in a plastic book cover. The book is price-clipped but has no apparent flaws. The poems, by Basho, Buson, Issa, Shiki, Sokan, Kikaku and others, were translated by Peter Beilenson, the venerable owner of Peter Pauper Press, with decorations by Jeff Hill.
