The box is opened and has been made into a complete set. This is a complete set a d includes all pieces and some extra pieces as well. If any pieces are missing it may have been lost when the lego set was taken apart for shipping purposes. The it comes with the original manuel and box as well. Great for Fans of Super Mario.
