The story of Pinocchio was written by author Carlo Lorenzini Collodi between 1881-83. He is a beloved character, famous in the story as the carved wooden puppet of Gepetto. Pinocchio has a feature that we all love - that long nose that gets longer when he lies. He dreams of becoming a real boy, however. Walt Disney made a movie about him in 1941. Great story. This doll is made of felt, stands 17" tall, dressed in white shirt with black vest, plus red shorts.
