The Blickensderfer Typewriter was introduced at the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893, Models 1 & 5. In production from 1895 thru 1913 which peaked at 10,000 typewriters a year 1903-1907. The No. 5 is a stripped down version of the bigger, more complex No. 1 and were the first truly portable, full-keyboard typewriters.
