🧀Tilsit is a surface ripened cheese first made by Dutch settlers in East Prussia, near the town of Tilsit, in the mid-19th Century. Also known as Tilsit Havarti, this cheese has a fuller and more intense flavor than Havarti, but is milder than German Tilsit.
