This is a vintage 1970s Electra Bearcat IV police scanner radio. Functionality: This is a crystal-controlled analog scanner that requires specific crystals for each frequency it monitors. Design: It features 8 channels, indicated by numbered LED lights on the front panel. Controls: The unit has manual and scan modes, along with dedicated knobs for squelch and volume control. Manufacturer: The device was manufactured by Electra Corporation, based in Cumberland, Indiana. The unit is used and I have no way of testing it. It does power on and each channel lights up and you can hear static when the volume is turned up. Also, the antenna is loose and needs to be opened up and screed back in. Otherwise it’s in very nice condition. Shoot me an offer.
