The view through the camera is a little blurry, but the image displays clearly on the video out. This is a good camera to burn your old tapes to digital. It comes with RCA cables(if you don't hear audio at first, swap red/white cables to TV). No battery, but the AC adapter is included(camera will run on just the AC adapter).
