This device was tested with the AV and HDMI cords. Both played DVDs fine however the power button does not seem to work originally did not seem like the device would power on with just the power button, but when the eject button was pushed the device functioned perfectly. The power button does not shut off the unit either. Please understand the issues that this device has prior to purchase that is the reason for its lower pricing. The power button does not work. It has many scratches and blemishes, but it does play DVDs and Blu-rays.
