The Escort Passport 8500 Laser Radar Detector is still in the box and appears as it could be new. Well, I do not believe this unit was ever used, one can only guess. I have plugged it in and it does work. Please note that the cord cover has some cracking and the suction cups look as though they need to be replaced from sitting in the case for so long
