Works great - its an extra since we were so enthusiastic we bought two bowls but do not need two since we do not eat ice cream every day -one batch lasts a week or more with plenty of time to refreeze the bowl. This is the bowl only - not the machine. Makes such great ice cream we have not purchased store bought ice cream since we got this.
