1800’s Tintype Photo, Mature Woman, Elegantly Dress With Sunken Eyes

Exceptional example of a tintype portrait also called ferrotype from the late 1800’s. Part of a well preserved CDV Civil War era album. The woman's attire is characteristic of the late 1860s or early 1870s fashion, an era known for its strict social codes and evolving silhouettes. Her serious expression is typical of the time, influenced by both cultural norms and the technical demands of early photography. Measures 2.5 x 3.5. Good condition. Ships quickly and carefully.
