Pale green to almost colorless, translucent, prismatic crystal with a glassy luster and clear striations parallel to the length. This is spodumene in its light green variety, most likely hiddenite (or at the very least pale kunzite/hiddenite-type spodumene). Amazonite is a variety of microcline feldspar and is always opaque to semi-opaque, with a distinctive bright turquoise-green to blue-green color and usually shows the typical feldspar twinning or perthitic texture under magnification. It never forms sharp, elongated, gemmy crystals like this one in the photo. Color is natural, very clean, and the transparency is excellent. This is a very desirable, high-quality hiddenite/spodumene specimen.
