This low-profile adapter features a male XLR connector for plugging into a mixer or interface. Internally, it has a transformer to balance the signal for long cable runs. There’s also a built-in power converter that reduces 12–48-volt phantom power to 4-volt plug-in power by the time it reaches the 3.5mm TRS female connector.
