Hand Crafted Bullion Patch Vintage Brooch Conversion 2-1/2” Tall. Bullion patches are handmade typically from metallic threads, wire, beads and ribbon. This particular one, which is a design that has been attributed to the period from 1900-1940s, does not appear to have ever been sewn onto a garment. At some point in its lifetime a brooch fitting was added to the back, making this a rather unusual fusion of clothing and jewelry. This has been worn and shows a lot of wear including discolorations, a few spots of corrosion on the metal edge and some staining and peeling of the linen backing.
