The typewriter needs a new ribbon. I do not have the key for the case, but it is unlocked. All of the keys work, including the backspace and all the tab keys. The tension selector and color selector both work. This typewriter has never been restored it is in original condition. The paint does have some wear. The case latches very securely and is safe to carry by the handle. It could definitely benefit from a thorough cleaning by someone who understands typewriters better than me. All of the margin functions work as well. The typewriter weighs 16 lb 10.2 oz.
