Dr. Margaret Hughes, fondly known as Maggie, was a respected veterinary surgeon in the Scottish Highlands. Tragically, she met her end in 2007 in a farming accident while trying to rescue a trapped sheep during a storm. Known for her love of animals, she had a house full of pets she had rescued.
