The white comb is best, as the fleas are black and can be seen more easily. (I need a light nearby for the darker colored combs). bowl of soapy water & bowl/glass of clean water. Once caught flea(s) in comb, dip in soapy water, upon removing from water rung the teeth with thump over bowl to fling them out, Now rinse comb in clean water.
