This is a 1950s Smith Corona Electric portable typewriter, the 5TE model, Smith Corona's first electric portable. It is built on the Silent Super mechanism adapted for electric operation. The layout is QWERTY with round glass-top keys, and it has a touch-selector dial, a power switch, a tab, and a manual carriage return. The matching hard shell carry case is included. It has been tested and runs well with a good ribbon installed. Vintage items sold as is, no returns.
