This genus unites about 50-100 species. The shoots are flexible and erect, and in the upper part they have solid, thin, slightly curved, linear-shaped leaf plates in a regular order. Such a culture has one feature ― resupination: the petioles of the foliage are strongly twisted 180 degrees, as a result, the front surface of the plate turns out to be from below, and the back surface is from above.
