This is a First Edition of Photographer Gregory Colbert's book, Ashes and Snow- A Novel In Letters. This is a companion piece for his art installation of the same name that is housed in a traveling art show in the Nomadic Museum. It is a poetic narrative of a fictional character and the 365 letters he wrote to his wife during a years long exhibition. 74 of these letters are presented in this book which was printed and bound in Italy on deckle edge Velata Biblos paper from Cartiere Magnani. The binding is hand-sewn and the cover is handmade Nepalese paper sealed with natural beeswax. This is truly a collectors item.
