Vintage Large Brass Clad Coal Tinder Fireplace Box with Frigate Ships
Probably English. The sides have a molded brass pattern. The back and inside are wood. I am guessing by the Philip head screws that this dates Mid Century. Circa 1940-1960. These were used next to the fireplace for coal, tinder, or firewood.
