Any movement can cause the light beam that reads the disc to move off track or "skip." The Anti Skip Buffer uses advanced tracking and memory to keep the beam on track and the music uninterrupted by storing the music for several seconds. The anti-skip buffer is the number of seconds the device can remember, to attempt to protect against skipping.
