Pros: Inexpensive for the quality; good software; fast scanning; quality images; easy set up.
Cons: I honestly cannot think of any at this time.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for quality and speed at a very reasonable price. Great for slides and photos. Avoid the more expensive V750 unless you plan to do wet scans.

I purchased this scanner to replace an Epson Expression 1600 scanner with transparency adapter. That scanner served me 6 years, but started to put colored lines in the scans. To repair it would have cost $480. This Epson Perfection V700 cost me $500...

Pros: No warm up time, Quick set-up, Easy to use, Clearer Images
Cons: I should have bought it sooner!
The Bottom Line: Perfect for preserving photo collections. And for those that have a bunch of negatives? This is the scanner for you!

After simple step-by-step set-up of this scanner, it was very simple to "jump right in" to scanning my photos, 35mm slides, and negatives up to 120 size. Yes, I did in fact scan all that I just mentioned and they turned out excellent!

Pros: Amazing scan quality even on film. Price = $200 wow! Canon flawless with the optics.
Cons: Short USB cable and won't work with longer. Cheep film holders. Buggy software
The Bottom Line: Buy it, set it on top of the CPU, and handle the film frames with great care. Medium format users take note.
