Pros: quiet, adjustable speed, timer, humidistat, indicator lights, easy cleaning, dishwasher safe medicine cup, long warranty

Cons: timer maximum setting is 18 hours, fragile water tank

Two failed units - I won't buy another of these

Pros: Works just fine when it works

Cons: Unreliable, long warranty repair/replacement period

Humidity without turning your home into a sauna

Pros: Humidifies with warm steam but does not over saturate you with water.

Cons: Costs a little more because of the ultraviolet light.

The Bottom Line: This is a great unit. You refill it only once in 24 hours and it doesn't saturate your house with steam.
